How to Place Camera When Using Prompter

When you use a teleprompter, placed in front of the camera, placement is important. If you’re using a prompter for your client make sure that the client is sitting far enough from the prompter so that you cannot see his eyes going back and forth as he reads the words. To do this you need to make sure the words are large enough to read from a distance. At least ten to twelve feet from the camera. The camera operator or producer should keep a close eye on the video to be sure this is not happening.
